What's actually in each letter?
Each mailer includes a physical mystery letter from one of four characters (Hana, Amara, Lucas, or Arjun), a decoder card to solve the hidden clue inside, and a simple recipe from the writer's country. That's it — no box, no extra packaging, just real mail.
How does the mystery work?
The letter tells a story with something hidden — a coded phrase, a clue, a pattern to find. The decoder card is the key. Each mystery is self-contained, so your child doesn't need to have read earlier letters to solve it.
What age is this really for?
Clueling is written for ages 6–9. The letters are easy enough for early readers to follow with light parental help, and engaging enough that confident readers 8 or 9 can solve the mystery entirely on their own. A read-aloud for a 6-year-old is just as valid as solo reading for a 9-year-old.
Can I give Clueling as a gift?
Yes — choose any plan at checkout, enter the child's name and shipping address, and the letters will go directly to them. The 12-month plan at $120 is our most popular gift option. A gift note is included in the first letter.
Which character writes first?
All subscribers receive letters in the same character rotation — Hana, Amara, Lucas, Arjun — so the first letter that ships after your subscription starts is whoever's turn it is in the current cycle.
Can I pause or cancel?
Yes — pause for up to 3 months or cancel anytime from your member dashboard. Cancellations before your next billing date mean no further charges. No phone call, no email required.
How long does shipping take?
We ship via USPS. Your first letter ships within 3–5 business days of subscribing. After that, letters go out at the start of each month. Most arrive within 5–10 business days. We'll send tracking when yours ships.
What if the letter arrives damaged?
Email us at info@clueling.com with a photo and we'll send a replacement within 2 business days, no questions asked.

Why I built Clueling.

"When the children in my family were small, I started sending them mail. Not cards tucked inside something for their parents — real letters, their names on the envelope, addressed just to them.

It became a tradition. And every time, I would hear the joy in their voices when they called to tell me they had gotten something in the mailbox that was just for them.

That feeling stayed with me. Clueling is my attempt to give more children that moment — a letter that belongs entirely to them, from a friend somewhere in the world, with a mystery waiting inside."

Your first letter ships within 3–5 business days of subscribing. After that, letters go out at the start of each month on a set cycle.

Arrives within 5–10 business days

We ship via USPS. Most letters arrive within a week. You'll receive a tracking confirmation when yours is on its way.
